Teaching Recreation Education to Kids (TREK PROJECT)
Teaching Recreation Education to Kids (TREK) was a service-learning project facilitated by physical education teacher education candidates taking KINE 4320 - Teaching Secondary PE Methods during the Spring semester of 2008. The project was a team-based scavenger hunt throughout Cedar Hill State Park that focused on learning fitness concepts and science TAKS. 160 kids from Midlothian ISD had the time of their lives!
